The refurbishment at the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh Conference Centre is now complete. Included in the restoration was an Audio-Visual upgrade to the Queen Mother Lecture Theatre, Sir John Crofton Room, Foyer, reception & visitor experience area.

Audio Light Systems not only designed & installed the building wide AV systems, but also carried out the refurbishment works in the Sir John Croft Room, including new suspended ceiling, Electrical & Lighting systems, finish and decorating works.

The Lecture Theatre system relies on an Extron XTP 64 frame full 4K matrix, giving a truly “anything anywhere” solution. The main systems will link to all other areas in the college in the next stage of the works.

The Yamaha MRX7-D controls the audio with an impressive 128 x 64 matrix including the Dante backbone. Sennheiser Speechline and Panasonic 4K PTZs & Bose steerable column speakers complete the installation to the highest quality standards.

The Sir John Crofton room is finished to exacting standards including new suspended ceiling, plastering, finishes and new AV, electrical and lighting.

The Xicato lighting installed is of museum quality. This gives superb quality for video conference and allows the room to be used as a gallery space for exhibitions or as part of a conference. The end wall is finished with projector paint giving depth to the Panasonic projected image.
