Firth of Forth Lobster Hatchery

The Firth of Forth Lobster Hatchery located in North Berwick rears lobsters on land from eggs to a juvenile stage. They are then released into the seas locally to increase the locally lobster population. During this process it is vital that power is maintained. Audio Light Systems ltd have installed a Firefly power back-up system to give constant power in the way of a large UPS system with solar panel feed in. The system also notifies via email when power is lost and returned, this is done using a 3G communication system installed in the Firefly. All electrical systems have been installed at an IP65 due to the highly corrosive environment.
