St Mary’s Episcopal Church, Dalmahoy contracted Audio Light Systems to provide a solution to their problem of getting a video and audio feed across to their overflow church hall 40m from the church.
Due to a number of obstacles, including a wooded area and gardens cabling was not possible. To work around this a high powered wireless LAN was setup with a camera and audio feed converted to TCP/IP and transmitted across from the church to the hall (or the other way). At the Hall end the signal is then distributed to the hall sound system and onto a projector.
The end result is a wireless audio and video link between the Church and the Church Hall, allowing for overflow plus many more applications.
